Happy Monday all! How was your day? My day was actually pretty good for a Monday. I got up early to get in my Week 2, Day 1 Start to Run Workouts that went like this.
Jog 1 minute, Walk 1 minute
Jog 2 minutes, walk 2 minutes X’s 2
Jog 3 minutes, walk 3 minutes X’s 2
I did add a 5 minute warm up and 8 minute walk at the end for a total of 35 minutes.
Post workout zero point breakfast on the go – 2 scrambled eggs plus 1/2 a pluot.I grabbed a tall iced nonfat latte on my drive in (2 sp).
Mid morning I was starving – actually that was my ‘theme’ today as nothing seemed to fill me up.
I snacked on a banana and lite string cheese (2 sp).I also fit in an hour walk in the sunshine at lunch then came back to devour my Italian Tortellini Pasta Salad (6 sp).I was still hungry so I snacked on 2 Tbsp pistachios (2 sp).Post walk – Tall Strawberry Acai Refresher made with water (4 sp).I have a love hate thing going on for tonight’s dinner. I decided to give these WW Mini Sliders a try for two reasons:
- Crescent Rolls Buns – yes please!!
- 3 Point Burgers!!!
I sucked it up and rolled out ‘half’ a pack of Trader Joe’s crescent rolls thinking there is no way this is making 10 circles but it did. They never really puffed up the way I thought they would so as The Husband says, we had wheat thins for buns lol.
I love the flavor of the rolls and the burgers are easy enough but I did not love rolling out the buns or the fact you somehow need to cut them in half.
I had 2 Sliders topped with ketchup, mustard & a pickle plus cucumber, tomato avocado salad. (8 sp).24 Daily WWFreestyle Smartpoints, 17K steps
I think I’ll be having a snack later before bed as I am still hungry. Maybe berries or a hard boiled egg.
Night all!

I’m thinking maybe you rolled out the dough too thin. I’m reading through the recipe and it says re-roll scraps to make more buns, and your picture shows you rolled the dough out super thin to fit 10 with scraps. If they were thicker, they might have puffed up to be slice-able like a slider bun. Just my thought.
I know I will be making these sliders. They look easy and I currently have all the ingredients in my fridge. Yay!
Foods with staying power, yes, the eternal struggle. There are weeks where I am just ravenous, and other weeks where I can’t even be bothered to eat no matter how tempting the food is. There is a scientific study I would help fund: Why is it some days we can’t stop eating and other days we can’t eat at all?
